Chester’s Blacksmith Shop Debuts in Park City

“Purveyors to the Extraordinary Everyman”

Park City, Utah, October 24, 2005 - Forging a new era in men’s lifestyle stores – Chester’s Blacksmith Shop will open its inaugural location on Friday October 28th in Park City, Utah.

Chester’s Blacksmith Shop offers what the extraordinary everyman is looking for – a highly edited collection of comfortable jeans, cozy T-shirts, yummy sweaters, assorted footwear, classic European grooming tools, sumptuous leather goods, fascinating books on things guys obsess about and stainless steel design gadgets.

Chester's mixes a unique blend of merchandise that melds fashion, art, and design in a stimulating environment. The store will have an “old meets new” feel with antique furnishings reminiscent of the era when a blacksmith shop would have actually operated on Main Street in Park City.

Exposing guests to a rapidly exploding art and cultural movement – Chester’s will have an ever fresh art program which will spotlight the exhilarating artists of the street and lowbrow movements. This program will highlight local Utah artists and expand to feature internationally recognized artists. Our Grand Opening event will feature Salt Lake City’s own GUTS4 and Chew—locally acclaimed artists.

Featured fashion designers include- - - RVCA, Ben Sherman, Citizens for Humanity, Spiewak, Fred Perry, Upper Playground, Puma, 7 for All Mankind, Howe, Diesel Shoes, Gola, Ted Baker Shoes, Mulholland Leather, Lonsdale, Agave Denimsmith, Union Denim, Medium Shoes and Velvet.

Our opening night event, sponsored by Red Bull, is on Friday October 28th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm and will feature DJ Lux. AfterParty will be sponsored by local watering hole O’Shucks.

Chester’s Blacksmith Shop is located at 613 Main Street in Park City - nestled perfectly above Mary Jane’s – the women’s fashion destination. Store hours: Monday – Thursday 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Sunday 11:00AM -7:00 PM.
